We all love to travel, to new places, new cities in cars, buses, caravans, by air, by the sea but I have travelled everyday since I was ten through books. I have let the ocean kiss my feet on the Coast of Ipanema and nosed around in Calgary and my travel expenses have never been more than the price of a McDonald Cheese Burger. Here's my travelogue where books can be found through the countries they have taken me to. The reviews are not professional and definitely not worth putting into a book review assignment for school! They are just a string of words that tell you what I felt when I travelled to a certain place. If it suits you, you go and book yourself a trip. If not, well...we'll keep it there!

84, Charring Cross Road

84, Charing Cross Road84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If I had some authority, any at all, that would have enabled me to crown a book, I would crown '84, Charing Cross Road' as the BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN .

To Navdeep Randhawa: Nothing could have ever honoured our friendship the way this book did! It is the perfect gift for a fellow admirer of books! Can I ever thank you enough for giving it to me? I think that would be as impossible as giving this incomparable book a review that can fully appreciate it!

To all and sundry: Are you still reading this review? Go, rush to the nearest bookstore and but it NOW! No non-fiction can be as magical and no epistolary book can ever be so complete despite its incompleteness as this one.

If you liked The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, you'll love this; if that was your favourite then you'll worship it!

Perhaps the only book that filled my heart with so much joy and shattered it all the same is '84, Charing Cross Road' . I don't think I'll ever be able to love a book so much again! And the BEST part is NOTHING about this book is fictional! It happened! All of it happened to real persons living in the real world.

Also, DO NOT MISS THE MOVIE after you've read it! To fully appreciate the friendship of Helene Hanff and 'All those at 84, Charring Cross Road' watch the movie! I never thought an exceptional epistolary book could be made into such a good movie, too!

Oh! Don't make me write more! Just go, read it! NOW!!!!
