We all love to travel, to new places, new cities in cars, buses, caravans, by air, by the sea but I have travelled everyday since I was ten through books. I have let the ocean kiss my feet on the Coast of Ipanema and nosed around in Calgary and my travel expenses have never been more than the price of a McDonald Cheese Burger. Here's my travelogue where books can be found through the countries they have taken me to. The reviews are not professional and definitely not worth putting into a book review assignment for school! They are just a string of words that tell you what I felt when I travelled to a certain place. If it suits you, you go and book yourself a trip. If not, well...we'll keep it there!

The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie SocietyThe Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' is a book which, I'm sure, every book-lover will enjoy. Not only does it talk about every good book written before the 1940s, it also appreciates the love for reading. The characters are lovable and endearing (especially Elizabeth and Sidney though in this case, it's hard to have favourites!), the story, despite being written from shifting perspectives in the epistolary form, doesn't lose its charm, fluidity and is an admirable amalgamation of wit, expression and humour.

Since criticism of such a beautiful book is impossible, I'd conclude by saying there is NO REASON WHATSOEVER why you shouldn't read it even if the book looks like a chick-lit and the blurb has a comment from losers like Stephanie Meyer .

You may find the ending slightly clichéd and you might feel the whole thing ended too soon. But all the same, it is one of those rare books which you shouldn't miss for anything in the world! Oh, and in case you're wondering why 4 stars after such a glowing, gushing review, well, if you've read '84 Charring Cross Road' , you'll see why!
