We all love to travel, to new places, new cities in cars, buses, caravans, by air, by the sea but I have travelled everyday since I was ten through books. I have let the ocean kiss my feet on the Coast of Ipanema and nosed around in Calgary and my travel expenses have never been more than the price of a McDonald Cheese Burger. Here's my travelogue where books can be found through the countries they have taken me to. The reviews are not professional and definitely not worth putting into a book review assignment for school! They are just a string of words that tell you what I felt when I travelled to a certain place. If it suits you, you go and book yourself a trip. If not, well...we'll keep it there!

Animal FarmAnimal Farm by George Orwell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am sure I wouldn't have touched Animal Farm if it hadn't been for Dr H. Gill's lectures, despite the fact that it had been lying around in my bookshelf with other books that my Uncle had given me for my birthday. Yes, those 'illegally' attended lectures, (thanks to Gayatri's insistence) introduced me to Orwell and his masterpiece which made me appreciate the course and impact of the Russian Revolution as well as the power of storytelling like never before.

I don't have much to say about this book for the fear of sounding very jargonish and can't say if you'll enjoy it just as much as I did if you don't attend lectures on Orwell with a teacher as brilliant as Dr Gill or if you're not a sucker of history like I am. Maybe you will, maybe you won't. However, I'm definitely thrusting it in the hands of people who ask me for a good recommendation!
